Sure, if you have the the value memorized you can probably spit it out a little faster, but what if the state at point A changes? What if there are variables along the path? Understanding the process allows you to work out the solution in any situation, not just the ones you prepared for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If I find myself calculating the value of a specific &#8216;B&#8217; more than a couple times, I&#8217;ll usually store that value somewhere it can be readily referenced for future lookups&#8211;frequently a bash alias or xmonad key combo.
